Research Analyst

The Research Analyst plays a critical role in WasteFuel’s growth and will conduct, manage and analyze renewable fuels research, economic analysis and data to help drive the development and growth of the company. The Research Analyst will work closely with and report to the executive team.  

 

The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented and comfortable multi-tasking.

Responsibilities include:

• Research renewable fuels industry technical, supply and demand trends, regulatory developments, competitor strategies

• Create clear and concise executive summary memos, diagrams and presentations

• Perform financial analyses to assist project and business development staff screen projects and advance existing projects

• Help prepare pitch books for projects and partnership proposals

• Edit and proofread memos, emails, presentations and reports

Minimum Requirements:

• BS degree or BA in a quantitative major

• 3+ years experience in a research or commercial analysis role preferably In energy or waste management

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Proficiency using data analysis tools

• You are a strategic thinker, bring new ideas to the table, and love a good brainstorm.

• You have strong decision-making abilities and accountability; this is an important role, own it!

• You have great judgment and can make "the call" as needed.

• You have an innate curiosity and an entrepreneurial spirit…have a suggestion on making something better? We encourage you to do it!

• You are incredibly organized, detail-oriented, and able to excel at managing multiple projects simultaneously.

• You’re willing to work select evenings/weekends and travel when necessary.

• You enjoy overdelivering rather than meeting expectations and take genuine pride in being part of something good.
