Chief Operating Officer
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) serves a critical role in WasteFuel’s (WF) corporate structure and approach. The COO oversees WF’s ongoing operations and procedures. The COO is responsible for the efficiency of business.

The goal of the COO position is to secure the functionality of business to drive extensive and sustainable growth.
​
Responsibilities include:

Overseeing daily operations of the company and the work of executives

Design and implement business strategies, plans and procedures
-
Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth
-
Develop/improve and implement company operational procedures, policies, and standards
-
Oversee company operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and cost-effective management of resources
-
Plan, develop, and implement strategies for generating resources and/or revenues for the company
-
Lead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication
-
Evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics
-
Assist CEO in fundraising needs as appropriate
-
Manage relationships with external parties/partners and ensure the proper protections are put in place (IP, Legal, Reputation)

Play a direct role in the selection and hiring of new team members
-
Maintain personnel records and establish organizational framework to support employee onboarding/payroll/benefits plan set up, etc.

Ensure project development activities are operating within time, budget, and financial constraints and milestones are achieved

Develop and maintain meaningful relationships/partnerships for business growth (waste owners, investors, technology platforms, and project developers)

Minimum Requirements:
-
BSc/BA in Business Administration or relevant field; MSc/MBA is a plus.

Proven experience as Chief Operating Office or relevant role.

Incredibly organized, detail-oriented, and able to excel at managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Understanding of business functions such as HR, Finance, marketing, etc.

Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development.
-
Experience in fundraising will be a plus.

Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics.

Working knowledge of IT/Business infrastructure and MS Office.

Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities.

Aptitude in problem-solving.

Ability to thrive as a leader in a dynamic, start-up environment.

Ability to manage confidential information and situations with efficiency, flexibility, and diplomacy.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
