Project Manager

The Project Manager plays a key role in WasteFuel’s growth and will manage existing projects in addition to the project pipeline. The Project Manager will work closely with and report to the VP of Project Management.

 

The ideal candidate will be is proactive, quantitative, and comfortable multi-tasking.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the efficient execution of projects

  • Develop and manage detailed project schedule and work plans for various projects

  • Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress

  • Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility

  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

  • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs

  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques and adjust as needed

  • Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement

  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks

  • Track project costs to meet budget

  • Coordinate closely with business development to help identify and screen project opportunities

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • BS degree or BA In a quantitative major.

  • 7+ years experience in a project management role preferably in energy or waste management.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency using data analysis and project management tools.

  • You are a strategic thinker, bring new ideas to the table, and love a good brainstorm.

  • You have strong decision-making abilities and accountability; this is an important role, own it!

  • You have great judgment and can make "the call" as needed.

  • You have an innate curiosity and an entrepreneurial spirit…have a suggestion on making something better? We encourage you to do it!

  • You are incredibly organized, detail-oriented, and able to excel at managing multiple projects simultaneously.

  • You’re willing to work select evenings/weekends and travel when necessary.

  • You enjoy overdelivering rather than meeting expectations and take genuine pride in being part of something good.
