
Mark Dennes is the CEO of WasteFuel. He brings over thirty years of investment and finance experience across energy, infrastructure, and real assets, with a proven track record deploying over $30 billion of debt, $1 billion of equity, and more than $100 million of tax equity into energy platforms worldwide.
Mr. Dennes work spans the full lifecycle of assets—from development and construction through operations and exit—integrating technical project realities with institutional capital requirements and risk management.
Mr. Dennes expertise spans private equity, venture capital, project finance, and investment banking, with particular depth in structuring and executing complex energy transactions from both sponsor-side and lender-side perspectives.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Dennes held senior posts at BNP Paribas, DNB Bank, and MUFG, where he originated, structured, and managed multi‑billion‑dollar portfolios of loans to energy companies and projects. He provided corporate and project finance to oil and gas, utilities, independent power producers, and emerging renewables, managing energy loan books of $1.2 BN to $2.0 BN.
